In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help foster a love of learning while supporting each child's unique developmental journey. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers. Provide attentive toddler care, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and health monitoring in accordance with safety standards. Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's social interactions and promote good classroom behavior. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Maintain detailed documentation of each child's development and classroom activities for assessment purposes. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and health regulations to safeguard child welfare at all times. Skills Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children. Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies for young learners. Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning atmosphere. Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with special needs or requiring early intervention services. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies. Familiarity with childhood development assessments, standardized testing procedures, and early childhood education best practices. Experience teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development.
