Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and caring Aftercare Teacher to join our preschool team. This position involves providing a safe and supportive environment for children during aftercare hours, supervising activities, assisting with routines, and helping create a positive experience for students at the end of their school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is dependable, and can help maintain a fun and structured afternoon program.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children ages 2-8 Supervising children during afternoon activities, playtime, and transitions Planning and participating in age-appropriate activities, crafts, and games Assisting with daily routines and maintaining classroom cleanliness Building positive relationships with children and families Following all DCF childcare regulations and school policies Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or camp settings is highly preferred
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older Must have or be willing to obtain required DCF Childcare Training/Credentials Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team Experience working with children preferred but not required At Seaside Learning Academy, we are committed to providing a loving, engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow.
