Kiddie Academy of Fleming Island is seeking a dependable, energetic, and nurturing Floater Teacher to join our growing team. Our educators play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment where children thrive through hands-on learning and meaningful interactions. As a Floater Teacher, you will support multiple classrooms throughout the academy, providing coverage where needed while building positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. Position Details Full-Time Monday - Friday 6:30AM-6:30PM Competitive Pay Based on Experience and Qualifications Benefits available for eligible employees Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Support classrooms ranging from Infants through Pre-K Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development Maintain active supervision of children at all times Follow all state licensing regulations and Kiddie Academy policies Help with classroom organization, cleanliness, and preparation of learning materials Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members Assist with meal service, diapering, toileting, and daily classroom routines as needed Communicate professionally with parents and staff Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratio compliance and ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Child Care experience preferred DCF 45-Hour Introductory Child Care Training completed or willingness to complete within required timeframe CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet all Florida licensing requirements, including background screening Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work with children of various age groups What We Offer Supportive and positive team environment Professional development and growth opportunities Ongoing training and coaching Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives every day A beautiful, state-of-the-art educational childcare environment If you are passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working with children of all ages, we'd love to hear from you.
