A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

Job Description
This position will be one of the most important positions in the center. Will work closely with the Director and staff. Must be flexible with availability, main hours will be 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM most of the time, but center hours are 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM and may be needed at differing times occasionally. VPK hours are from 9 Am to 12 PM. Skills, Education, And Experience Must have a CDA or Related degree in Early Childhood At least three years of early childhood education experience required, with one year being in Pasco County. An understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and the ability to ensure its use in the classroom A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference in their and their families lives every day Excellent administrative, and organizational skills, proficient with a computer, some knowledge of Microsoft Applications a plus Excellent verbal, written, listening, and communication skills required CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to take over a classroom if necessary, and give teachers breaks Looking forward to adding an integral part of our team! Accredited School.
