Job Description

Overview We are a faith based preschool in Indialantic FL with and extended day program until 6pm. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Aftercare Teacher and Substitute who loves working with children 18mths•5 years old to join our team. In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during after school hours, fostering their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Extended Day Teachers are responsible, but not limited to, the following Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement engaging educational activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Coordinate outdoor play, sports, or recreational activities to encourage physical development and teamwork Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Light cleaning of classroom upon closing Comforting children during rest and naptime. Applicant must : Pass a background check Be 18 or older Be fingerprinted through Clearinghouse Portal (or willing to be upon employment) Have a positive demeanor Be patient and calm with children Available to work 5 days per week Monday•Friday, 12•6pm (usually only around 10 children) Have DCF 45 hours, or willing to begin upon employment We are seeking a positive, reliable and creative person to join our team and work in a positive, loving environment.
Pay:
$16.00•$17.00 per hour
