Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in various areas including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a supportive community. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their child's development. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas. Collaborate with colleagues to plan events, activities, and curriculum enhancements. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development. Experience Previous experience in childcare or education settings such as daycare or preschool is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential. Familiarity with first aid procedures is a plus; certification is preferred. DCF 45+ hours are required. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
