About Us - Discoverers Learning Academy Discoverers Learning Academy is a small, family-oriented early childhood education center located in Kissimmee, Florida. We provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 1 through 5. Responsibilities include:

Create and maintain a safe, clean, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through structured learning and play Provide appropriate daily care and supervision, including meals, diapering/toileting, and rest-time routines as applicable to the classroom Maintain appropriate classroom routines and positive behavior-management practices Observe children's development and communicate relevant progress with parents and guardians Maintain open, professional communication with families Follow all health, safety, licensing, and academy policies and procedures Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to maintain a positive and supportive environment Participate in classroom preparation, cleaning, organization, and other responsibilities necessary for the daily operation of the academy Qualifications & Requirements Florida 45-Hour Child Care Training Current CPR and First Aid certification CDA credential Ability to successfully complete all required background screening Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional Genuine passion for working with young children Previous childcare or classroom experience preferred A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
