Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to program improvement initiatives. Oversee classroom routines such as diapering, meal times, nap schedules, and outdoor play to support holistic child welfare. Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood safety is preferred. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations within educational settings.
