The preschool teacher shall provide a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all relevant legislations, policies, and procedures. The Preschool teacher will be respectful of children and parents and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained. Failure to provide adequate services may place children at risk. Expectations

- Has a love for children from all cultural backgrounds.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Must pass background screening & drug test.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Maintain continuing education as required by law. Responsibilities Provide for preschool children the foundation they need for spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and academic growth appropriate to their age.
- Teach foundational concepts, such as shapes, colors, letters, and sounds.
- Help children learn social aspects of going to school.
- Teach by word and example the love of Christ, and basic Bible truths and stories.
- Assist children in developing fine and gross motor skills.
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children.
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interest and learning styles of children.
- Develop & maintain positive relationships with children and parents. Work with the early education faculty to develop and continue a cohesive, beneficial early education program. Specific Duties
- Maintain professional, personal, and classroom appearance.
- Attend any evening programs in which the preschool students are involved.
- Make sure the area's you are responsible for are cleaned daily.
