The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Utilizing a variety of teaching methods, able to make lesson plans and to establish a positive routine and learning environment. You will engage children in learning activities that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, and early intervention strategies, sharing and being a kind and responsible friend and classmate. You will need to work well with others, be a team player and give positive direction to aides and others who help in the classroom. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Manage classroom activities effectively to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized attention to students, ensuring their needs are met in areas such as toddler care and early intervention. Foster a love for learning through engaging literacy and math education activities. Encourage physical activity through structured play and physical education programs. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development. Observe and assess children's development to tailor educational approaches accordingly. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. A CDA is preferred, but not a must. CPR & First Aid certifications required, but easily obtainable if not already certified. Experience in preschool or early childhood settings is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized and effective learning environment. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and physical education. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues. Commitment to fostering a supportive atmosphere for all students and staff.
