Full Job Description Schedule/Hours:

Monday-Friday- 40 Hours week This position is responsible for: Provides pre-school services for children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs; plans, develops, and teaches pre-school classes; prepares and maintains records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of child care property.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. Develops and implements lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to observe children and ensure their safety. Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs). Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work is performed in a normal pre-school environment where there is little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or G.E.D. required, And CDA two year's experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
