Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES
CDA, FCCPC, or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field VPK Endorsed or willing to obtain endorsement Experienced preschool/VPK teacher strongly preferred. We are looking for a seasoned teacher who can confidently step into an established classroom and quickly learn classroom routines, expectations, curriculum, and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of the CLASS® observation tool and CLASS dimensions preferred. Experience preparing for or participating in CLASS observations is a strong plus. Ability to create positive teacher-child interactions throughout the day and intentionally support children's language development, higher-level thinking, engagement, and social-emotional development Strong classroom management skills with the ability to establish consistency, structure, and positive behavior expectations Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and learning experiences with minimal training or supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and administration Must have completed the required DCF 45-hour training Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening Dependable, flexible, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team Must support the Christian mission and values of
