Job Description

Job Overview Gan Chabad Children's House is a warm and nurturing Jewish Montessori-inspired environment, serving children 15months - 4 years . We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year (official start date August 10th 2026). The role will include leading the classroom and taking ownership over the children's emotional, social, and academic development. The candidate must be able to guide the older students children through their literacy development, teaching them how to read and write. The teacher will prepare lessons, projects, and parent-teacher conferences. The Lead Teacher upholds educational standards within the Judaic principles in our Montessori-inspired environment. As a religious preschool , we seek teachers who can model and teach jewish beliefs and practices in accordance with our mission.
Full-time Hours :
Monday 8:30-4:15pm, Tuesday - Thursdays 8:30- 4:00pm, Fridays 8:30-3:00pm Position Requirements Meets Florida VPK Lead Instructor requirements (CDA, FCCPC, or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field) Completion (or willingness to complete) VPK-required literacy and standards training Minimum 1-2 years of preschool teaching experience , preferably with 4-year-olds Experience in a Montessori or Montessori-inspired classroom strongly preferred (formal certification not required) Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and materials , including child-led learning and prepared environments Experience integrating Judaic values, traditions, and holidays into early childhood curriculum Ability to create a warm, respectful classroom culture that reflects both Montessori principles and Jewish values Key Responsibilities Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports early literacy, math, and social-emotional growth Blend Montessori-inspired practices with VPK instructional requirements Integrate Judaic studies and traditions into daily classroom experiences in a meaningful and age-appropriate way Foster independence, curiosity, and respect within a nurturing classroom environment Communicate effectively with families and collaborate with school leadership Additional Qualities Passion for early childhood education and whole-child development Strong classroom management and organizational skills Warm, collaborative, and professional demeanor
