Job Description

About us The Light Preparatory Academy is a new Montessori Preschool in Miami Gardens, FL. We aim to provide a holistic and innovative education for early learners ages 1-8 We believe in providing our team with an agile, professional, and growth-oriented environment.
Our work environment includes:
Problem-solving and brainstorming to find solutions Professional developments Growth opportunities Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment for children to grow and develop
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
  • Use effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior in the classroom
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and development via online tools.
  • Assist with clerical tasks including filing, answering phones, as needed
  • Post photos and videos on social media Experience
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting preferred
  • Montessori experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
  • Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
  • Strong classroom management skills to create an organized and structured learning environment
  • Ability to adapt lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of students
  • Proficiency in math concepts relevant to early childhood education
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
  • Certification in early childhood education or relevant teaching certification preferred
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities
