Job Summary Join our vibrant Early Childhood Enrichment Program as an After School Enrichment Specialist dedicated to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. In this paid position, you will deliver dynamic activities after the school day that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow in a safe and supportive setting. Responsibilities Facilitate engaging after-school activities tailored to early childhood developmental stages, including arts, crafts, games, and educational projects Supervise children during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being through attentive child supervision and classroom management Implement age-appropriate behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional growth Communicate with parents or guardians regarding children's, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong home-school connections Maintain a clean, organized environment that supports learning and safety standards in accordance with childcare regulations Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being Collaborate with team members to develop inclusive activities that accommodate children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support or with disabilities Skills 45-hour DCF course Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschool, daycare, or babysitting roles Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child development instruction techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral challenges Strong classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment while maintaining safety standards Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Ability to adapt activities for toddlers and infants while demonstrating patience and nurturing care in all interactions This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to young children's growth while developing your skills in early childhood education.
