Bright Futures Early Learning Center provides high quality childcare and early learning programs to children ages six weeks to five years old. We are focused on improving the kindergarten readiness rate in our community by assisting families with developing foundations for educational success. We are licensed by the Florida Department of Children & Families, a School Readiness Provider through the Early Learning Coalition of Santa Rosa County, and a Military Child Care in your Neighborhood Provider. The Toddler Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the growth and learning of young children. This role emphasizes fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence while maintaining a safe and structured setting. The teacher will guide children through daily routines, encourage social-emotional development, and partner with families to promote school readiness. Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that are age-appropriate and support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Plan and facilitate engaging activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and independence. Maintain a safe, healthy, and organized classroom environment with appropriate arrangement of materials and supplies. Support children through daily routines, transitions, and caregiving needs (meals, rest, toileting). Observe and document children's developmental progress, sharing insights with families and program staff. Establish positive relationships with children and families, fostering trust and collaboration. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in curriculum and classroom practices. The shift time for this position is 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a Level 2 Background Screening (as required by Florida law). At least 1 year of experience working with young children in an early childhood education or childcare setting. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families and staff. Commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The person hired for this position will be required to complete the DCF Pre-Service training by their start date. They will have 1-year from employment date to complete the DCF 45-hr introductory training. Additional Abilities /

Work Environment:

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequent periods of standing, stooping, bending, and occasional running. Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of toddlers and classroom routines.
