Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team, with an anticipated start date in January 2027. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored specifically for one-year-olds and toddlers, incorporating early literacy, motor skills, social-emotional development, and basic math concepts. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote physical development, cognitive growth, and social skills through play-based learning. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships. Maintain accurate documentation of children's developmental progress in accordance with child welfare standards and early childhood education guidelines. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations by conducting routine safety checks and maintaining first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities that align with educational standards such as childhood development benchmarks and preschool teaching best practices. Requirements Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, especially with infants or toddlers. Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management strategies, classroom management techniques, and early intervention methods. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, physical education, and foundational math skills. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff. Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing professional development in early childhood education preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Experience with classroom experience including curriculum development, standardized testing (if applicable), and working within private or daycare settings is advantageous. Passion for early childhood education combined with excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently.
