Preschool Teacher

Position Summary:

At Creative Early Learning Academy, our Preschool Teachers create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and educational environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Teachers are responsible for implementing age-appropriate curriculum, maintaining classroom management, supporting social-emotional development, and building positive relationships with children, families, and staff. We are looking for dependable, positive, energetic individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and helping children succeed. Responsibilities & Duties Classroom Management Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and proper care Follow all Florida DCF licensing regulations and company policies Maintain appropriate classroom ratios at all times Assist with transitions, potty training, meals, nap/rest time, and daily routines Curriculum & Learning Implement daily lesson plans and hands-on learning activities Create engaging activities that support: Language & literacy Math & science Social-emotional development Fine motor & gross motor skills Creative expression Encourage school readiness skills and independence Maintain classroom centers and learning materials Child Development & Behavior Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment Use positive guidance and redirection techniques Observe and document children's development and progress Communicate concerns appropriately with leadership and families Help children develop social skills, confidence, and emotional regulation Parent Communication Maintain professional and positive communication with families Provide daily updates through classroom communication systems Inform parents of incidents, concerns, milestones, and achievements Build trusting relationships with children and families Teamwork & Professionalism Work collaboratively with co-teachers and administration Attend staff meetings and required trainings Be flexible and willing to assist in other classrooms if needed Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability Arrive on time and prepared for each workday Qualifications High school diploma or GED required CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or experience preferred Must meet all state licensing requirements Ability to pass background screening and fingerprinting CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred Skills & Abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, creativity, and positive attitude Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Passion for working with young children Reliable and dependable attendance Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions What We Offer Supportive and positive work environment Opportunities for professional growth Hands-on classroom experience Team-oriented atmosphere The opportunity to make a difference in children's lives every day Equal Opportunity Employer Creative Early Learning Academy is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees and families.
