Job Description
To carry out the vision of connecting people to Christ through Crosspoint's outreach ministry - Crosspoint Academy. This is primarily carried out by embracing all aspects of Crosspoint Academy policies/practices to include: making Crosspoint Academy a ministry before a school, upholding state licensing requirements through DCF, connecting Crosspoint Academy families to Christ through relationships and ministry events. Responsibilities and Duties Days and times include Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 8:40-3:10 Deliver quality educational programs that comply with the mission of Crosspoint Academy, VPK, and DCF requirements. Assess children's spiritual and educational needs and deliver appropriate teaching interventions to satisfy that need. Maintain a classroom environment of 11 children that promotes good health, safety and cleanliness. Develop a nurturing childcare environment for children where learning can take place, following daily classroom schedules and lesson plans. Attend and complete training for First Aid, CPR, VPK, and DCF as required by state law. Qualifications and Skills Dedicated Follower of Jesus. Ministry minded; relationship focused. A self-starter who can multi-task and prioritize workload. Strong relational skills. Amiable personality. Strong classroom management skills. Ability to get along with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and personality styles. Ability to work as a team with Crosspoint Kids ministry staff and always portray the church, staff, and ministry in the most positive light in the church as well as in the community. Ability to write age appropriate lesson plans that align with our pre-approved curriculum
