About Us First Assembly Christian School is a ministry-based preschool proudly partnering with the Florida Early Learning Coalition and is accredited with the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) . We serve infants through VPK-aged students and before-and after-care for kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are committed to nurturing young children spiritually, academically, and developmentally in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Position Overview First Assembly Christian School is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood ministry. The ideal candidate is passionate about nurturing young children academically, spiritually, and socially in a Christ-centered environment. Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida early learning standards and ACTS guidelines Integrate biblical principles, prayer, and Christian values throughout daily instruction Implement curricula that support school readiness in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and documentation required by the Early Learning Coalition Communicate consistently with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities Participate in chapel services, staff devotions, and school-wide events Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom in compliance with Florida DCF licensing requirements Collaborate with administration, assistant teachers, and ministry leadership
Required:
Level 2 background screening clearance (required by Florida law) Completion of all the Department of Children and Families' 45 hours, and the Florida Department of Early Learning's early childhood school readiness required training Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with young children Active, personal Christian faith with a lifestyle consistent with the school's statement of faith Strong classroom management and communication skills Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with 2 years of experience Active or willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
Preferred:
VPK Credentials, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education Familiarity with Early Learning Coalition programs and requirements, CL assroom A•ssessment S coring S ystem (C.L.A.S.S.), Florida's VPK Assessment tools, Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST), Star Early Literacy ,• and Teaching Strategies Gold. $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
