Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's developmental progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote language development, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional learning. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special needs. Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities that support early intervention strategies and accommodate children with special education needs. Uphold health and safety standards by ensuring first aid and CPR certifications are current and implementing proper childcare protocols. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience in private school environments is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood development instruction. Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior through effective behavior management techniques. Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience implementing classroom safety procedures. Experience working with children who require special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; CDA perferred and additional credentials in childhood development or special education are advantageous.
