Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who loves working with and teaching young children in Early Childhood education. The ideal candidate will engage in playful activities, such as teaching games and exploring the outdoors with mud and water tables. They will facilitate hands-on science experiences, like measuring leaves, counting blades of grass, watering plants, and introducing children to the names of various mammals, insects, and birds, incorporating colors, numbers, shapes and languag. Must be over 21 years of age Must have flexible availability The school has 3 dogs and a cat And sometimes frogs and other critters. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing curriculum, and supporting the developmental needs of preschool-aged 2 years -4 years children. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and physical education. Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment through effective behavior management techniques. Provide individualized su Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development. Qualifications Pass FBI fingerprints Enroll in DCF mandated training. VPK training Complete training within 40 hours follow through with testing through DCF. training AA degree degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred, not required. Experience working with Young children, at home or in other areas, baby sitting, clubs and etc… Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience with behavior management strategies and tutoring is advantageous. Ability to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students.
