Duties Provide coverage for classrooms as needed, supporting lead teachers and assistant staff to ensure continuous supervision of children. Assist with child supervision during activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play to promote safety and engagement. Support classroom management by helping implement lesson plans, activities, and routines aligned with early childhood development principles. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates, behavioral observations, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and development while adhering to health and safety protocols. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of child abuse or neglect and reporting appropriately. Participate in ongoing training on first aid, CPR, special education needs, behavior management, and childhood development best practices. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development instruction and classroom management techniques is essential. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs enhances your ability to support diverse learners. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is supported. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision standards ensures compliance and safety. Previous nannying or babysitting experience that showcases responsibility in caring for infants, toddlers, or young children is advantageous.
