Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and caring VPK Aide who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about supporting their learning and development. The VPK Aide will work alongside the lead teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment while assisting with daily classroom activities.
Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom duties and routines. Prepare materials for lessons, activities, and classroom projects. Support the implementation of daily lesson plans and learning activities. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Assist with classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children follow classroom expectations. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and transitions. Build positive relationships with children and staff. Follow all licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications:
Must enjoy working with young children and have a positive, patient attitude. Completion of the required 45-hour Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Child Care Training . Ability to work well as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a preschool, childcare, or VPK setting is preferred but not required. Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.

$14.50 - $16.00 per hour
