Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves engaging with toddlers in a supportive and nurturing environment, facilitating their learning and development after school hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong classroom management skills, and be committed to fostering a positive and safe space for students to thrive academically and socially. Duties Supervise and engage students in structured and unstructured activities following the school day Implement lesson plans that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management strategies Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and inclusive environment Support students with special education needs or behavioral challenges as needed Coordinate with parents, school staff, and other caregivers to ensure consistent communication about student progress Organize activities such as arts & crafts to enhance social skills and creativity Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as daycare or childcare programs Knowledge of childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR is mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is a plus Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Background in special education or experience working with students with diverse needs is desirable Excellent communication skills and patience when working with children of various ages and backgrounds Eligible DCF Level 1 Background Screening on file DCF 45 Hours completed This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in education and child development within a supportive team environment.
