You will engage the children in play and education and provide exceptional warm and nurturing care. You will sing songs, read stories, and provide appropriate activities for physical and intellectual development. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children, and be an excellent communicator. Qualifications needed to teach and care for them effectively include knowledge and experience of infant care, developmentally appropriate practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage children and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to always create a positive climate to contribute to the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of the child so they can more easily acclimatize in the next level of education. Responsibilities Write weekly lesson plans. Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, singing, engaging games.) to teach and stimulate very young children. Observe each child to help them improve their physical and social development. Encourage children to interact with each other. Encourage and promote physical and academic development. Manage feeding, and always engaging with children during meals. Track children's progress and report to parents. Communicate with parents. Collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards. Skills Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher. Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods. Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms. Excellent communication and instructional skills. Friendly and reliable. Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen. Certification in child CPR and First Aid. DCF 45 Hours Basic Training. CDA Certification.
