Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy, and physical activity. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and social skills. Engage children in hands-on activities that promote cognitive, motor, and language development tailored to toddlers' needs. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure collaborative support. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and special education accommodations when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, especially with toddlers. Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices. Strong skills in curriculum development, behavior management, classroom organization, and lesson planning. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early childhood education are a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety. Ability to create engaging activities that promote literacy education, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
