In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' needs, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that promotes curiosity and independence. Lead lesson planning sessions that align with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods if applicable. Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and emotional regulation among children. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Supervise classroom assistants and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality care. Stay informed about mandated reporting laws and ensure compliance with all child welfare regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, especially with toddlers. Strong knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education for young learners. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood development principles. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment conducive to learning. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to preschool assessments when applicable. Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is encouraged.
