In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom where children can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help foster a love of learning while supporting each child's individual developmental needs. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with children, strong classroom management skills, and a dedication to promoting positive behavior and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall child development aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills among preschool-aged children. Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization to ensure a safe and productive learning space. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships supporting each child's welfare. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols; ensure first aid and CPR certifications are up-to-date. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting with strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and literacy education best practices. Experience in special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in childhood development or teaching are preferred. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate math skills, physical education activities, and social-emotional learning strategies. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
