Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans focused on infant development, including sensory exploration, motor skills, and social-emotional growth Provide attentive supervision and care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Engage with children through interactive activities that promote cognitive and physical development in line with childhood development principles Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations such as pediatric first aid and child supervision standards Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management issues Collaborate with team members to create inclusive strategies for children with special needs or disabilities, incorporating special education techniques when necessary Experience Prior experience working with infants in daycare centers, preschools, or similar childcare settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education best practices Hands-on experience with classroom management, behavior management strategies, and toddler care techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality Experience working within daycare or childcare environments that follow health protocols such as mandated reporting laws and safety standards Background in nannying or babysitting young children can be valuable for understanding individual needs and fostering nurturing relationships
