West Palm Beach, FL Join Our Team! Future Kids Academy is looking for a caring, dependable, patient, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team and work with our 3-year-old classroom . We are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn through purposeful play, hands-on activities, and positive daily interactions. About the Role The Preschool Teacher will provide a caring and developmentally appropriate learning environment for three-year-old children. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, is patient and dependable, and can create engaging classroom experiences that support children's social, emotional, language, physical, cognitive, and early academic development. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate daily lesson plans and activities. Lead circle time, music, art, sensory exploration, and outdoor learning. Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Build nurturing and respectful relationships with each child. Encourage positive behavior through developmentally appropriate classroom management. Assist children with meals, potty training, handwashing, and daily routines. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom. Complete required classroom documentation, observations, and assessments. Communicate positively and professionally with families regarding children's daily progress. Follow Florida DCF licensing, health, and safety requirements. Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and provide active supervision. Work collaboratively with teachers, leadership, and center staff. Provide consistent, high-quality care and education throughout the day. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Florida 45-Hour DCF Child Care Training required. At least one year of childcare or preschool teaching experience preferred. CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred. CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Positive, patient, dependable, and professional attitude. Genuine passion for early childhood education. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Knowledge of Florida DCF regulations and licensed childcare practices is a plus. Must successfully pass required Local and Federal (FDLE) Level 2 Background Screening. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to work effectively in an active childcare environment and: Frequently stand and walk for more than 50% of the workday. Bend, squat, kneel, stoop, and sit or work at children's eye level. Perform repetitive or fine hand movements as needed. Lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Respond quickly and appropriately to children's needs and safety concerns. Multitask effectively in a busy, energetic, and sometimes loud environment.
