Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Part-Time Preschool VPK Teacher to join our team in the afternoon shift. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners during their crucial early years, focusing on preschool-aged children in a nurturing and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring passion for early childhood education, classroom management expertise, and a commitment to child development. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to preschool children's developmental needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning, creativity, and social-emotional growth through effective behavior management strategies. Foster strong communication with parents by providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns with professionalism and warmth. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to all health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols. Utilize classroom experience and child development instruction techniques to support individual learning styles and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing results and early intervention strategies when necessary. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education methods. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications related to childhood education or special needs are a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws concerning child safety and welfare. Experience teaching physical education or working with toddlers is desirable but not required. Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs and promotes positive behavior.
