Preschool VPK Teacher

Company Overview My Kids Academy is a vibrant early childhood education center situated on a spacious 1.77-acre campus, featuring state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities designed specifically for young children. Our comprehensive campus includes multiple classrooms, specialized activity rooms, and engaging outdoor play areas to foster growth and exploration. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Preschool VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Teacher to inspire and nurture our young learners. In this role, you will create a positive classroom environment that promotes early childhood development through engaging lesson plans, hands-on activities, and individualized attention. Your passion for teaching and working with children will help lay the foundation for their future success. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, social-emotional growth, and positive behavior management Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote cognitive, motor, and social skills development Engage children in activities that support early intervention strategies and special education needs when applicable Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in compliance with mandated reporting laws Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental needs Collaborate with colleagues to enhance classroom management techniques and implement best practices in childhood development instruction Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or preschool setting Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods for early learners Experience with behavior management techniques tailored to young children Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and child welfare policies Strong communication skills to effectively work with children, parents, and team members Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a positive learning environment Previous experience in preschool teaching or Montessori methods is highly desirable Join us at My Kids Academy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children!
