About Kiddie Academy of Oakland Kiddie Academy of Oakland is a nationally recognized educational child care provider that puts children first. Our infant program fosters early development through responsive care, sensory exploration, and a safe, loving environment. We value teamwork, flexibility, and a genuine passion for early childhood education. We're currently looking for an Infant Floater Teacher to support our infant classrooms and ensure consistent, high-quality care throughout the day. Job Summary As an Infant Floater Teacher, you will work across all infant classrooms (ages 6 weeks - 12 months) providing coverage for breaks, planning time, and staff absences. You'll follow each classroom's established routines and curriculum, stepping in to support lead teachers and maintain a calm, nurturing atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can adapt quickly, and wants to make a difference in the earliest stages of child development. Key Responsibilities Float between infant classrooms to cover teacher breaks, absences, or high-need periods Implement daily activities and routines consistent with Kiddie Academy's Life Essentials® curriculum Support feeding, diapering, napping, and sensory play while maintaining safety and sanitation standards Build trusting relationships with infants, families, and classroom teams Communicate daily observations to lead teachers and parents as needed Help keep all infant classrooms organized, stocked, and clean Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required At least 6 months of experience working with infants (0-12 months) in a licensed child care center 45 Hours DCF training completion Current CDA credential or willingness to enroll in a CDA program within 6 months of hire Availability Monday through Friday 9AM-6PM Reliable, flexible, and comfortable moving between different classroom environments Ability to pass a background check and state-required health screenings Why Join Kiddie Academy of Oakland?
