Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, social-emotional skills, motor development, and basic math concepts tailored for one-year-olds Create a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies Engage children in activities that support their physical development, including movement exercises and sensory play Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships Maintain detailed documentation of each child's developmental progress in accordance with child welfare and mandated reporting laws Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent classroom management and effective lesson planning aligned with early childhood education standards Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently; maintain first aid and CPR certifications to respond promptly to emergencies. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare or preschool is required Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Experience developing curriculum content that integrates literacy education, physical education, and basic math skills for toddlers Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment Strong communication skills to engage with parents, colleagues, and community resources effectively Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are advantageous Completed 45 DCF hours Join us to shape the earliest experiences of children's lives through passionate teaching, compassionate care, and dedicated collaboration.
