Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Daycare Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and aligned with curriculum standards. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects tailored to various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth within the classroom. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records of child development progress, assessments, attendance, and standardized testing results. Foster a love of learning through creative activities that promote childhood development instruction across cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language domains. Experience Proven teaching experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and child welfare practices. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, health & safety protocols including first aid and CPR certifications. Prior experience in private school or daycare environments is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners. Hands-on experience teaching physical education or integrating literacy education into daily activities is a plus.
