Our floaters are an important part of our team. You'll work alongside teachers and leadership to provide classroom coverage, maintain required teacher-to-child ratios, support daily routines, and help create a safe, nurturing environment for every child in our care. If you're flexible, reliable, enjoy working with different age groups, and love being part of a team, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do As our Part-Time Floater, you will: Provide classroom coverage and support throughout the center as needed. Assist teachers with daily routines, activities, meals, transitions, and rest times. Help maintain required teacher-to-child ratios at all times. Supervise children closely and prioritize their health and safety. Engage children through play, conversations, stories, songs, and age-appropriate activities. Support classrooms ranging from infants through preschool based on the needs of the center. Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environments. Follow classroom schedules, routines, and teacher directions. Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other caregiving responsibilities as appropriate for the age group. Build positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and leadership. Follow Bright from the Start licensing requirements and First Discovery policies and procedures. Step into different classrooms with a positive attitude and willingness to help. Required Qualifications To be considered, applicants must have: Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, school, or similar setting. All required Georgia Health & Safety training completed or the ability to complete required training before beginning work. Ability to work comfortably with multiple age groups. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. Ability to meet all Bright from the Start employment requirements, including required background checks. A flexible, dependable, and professional attitude. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare center. Experience in a Georgia Quality Rated early learning program. Current CPR & First Aid Certification. CDA, TCC, Associate's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Familiarity with Bright from the Start licensing regulations.
