Responsibilities Deliver daily instruction using Prestige Children's Academy's established Abeka curriculum, ensuring lessons are taught consistently and effectively according to the provided curriculum materials and classroom schedule. This position does not require curriculum development or lesson-plan creation. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's emotional regulation and social interactions. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or informal updates. Lead lesson planning sessions that incorporate child development principles, standardized testing when applicable, and innovative teaching methods. Supervise classroom staff and volunteers to maintain high-quality care and educational standards. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health & safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with specialists in special education or early intervention programs to support children with diverse needs. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development using appropriate tools to tailor instruction effectively. Promote a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children.

Skills Credential Required:

Must possess a current TCC (Technical Certificate of Credit), CDA (Child Development Associate Credential), or higher qualifying Early Childhood Education credential. Extensive experience working with young children in preschool or childcare settings; prior classroom experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that foster a supportive learning environment. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that integrate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures. Experience teaching physical education or implementing movement-based activities is a plus. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools. Childcare certifications such as First Aid and CPR are required; additional credentials in special education or childhood development are advantageous.
