Atlanta, GA 30312 (Applicants must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to start) Position Overview Grant Park Cooperative Preschool (GPCP), a Reggio Emilia-inspired learning community rooted in child-centered and relationship-based practices, is seeking a dedicated Infant Room Educator. This role is ideal for an educator who is deeply passionate about supporting the earliest stages of development and creating a nurturing, responsive environment for infants and their families. Infant Room Educators play a critical role in establishing a foundation of trust, safety, and connection. Through attentive caregiving, observation, and meaningful interactions, educators support each child's individual rhythms while fostering a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide responsive, attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting sleep routines in alignment with each child's individual needs Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families through consistent, nurturing interactions Observe and document children's development, interests, and emerging skills to inform daily care and experiences Collaborate with teaching team members to create a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment Support sensory exploration, early communication, and movement through intentional materials and interactions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in accordance with licensing and health guidelines Follow all health, safety, and supervision protocols, including maintaining appropriate ratios at all times Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's day, routines, and development Uphold GPCP's mission, values, and commitment to relationship-based and equitable practice Qualifications Experience working with infants or young children in a formal or informal setting preferred A genuine passion for early childhood development, particularly in the first years of life Interest in or willingness to learn more about the Reggio Emilia approach and relationship-based care Ability to respond to children's needs with attentiveness, patience, and flexibility Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Organized and able to manage daily routines while remaining responsive to individual needs Dependable, adaptable, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality care each day Ability to maintain a calm and nurturing presence in a dynamic classroom environment Why Join GPCP?
