Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic preschool teacher to lead a dynamic 4-year-old preschool prep class. You will play a vital role in implementing curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and building strong relationships with both children and their families. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical development in line with early childhood education standards. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and active learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction. Manage daily classroom routines, including lesson planning, circle time, transitions, and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and structured atmosphere. Assess each child's developmental progress through observations and standardized testing tools; tailor instruction to meet individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and milestones; foster collaborative relationships to support child welfare. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and incident reports. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays. Skills Proven experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood education settings; classroom management skills are essential. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and curriculum development. Familiarity with special education concepts, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators effectively. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification.
