Duties Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development tailored to preschool learners. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies. Foster early literacy and numeracy skills through engaging activities focused on reading readiness, basic math concepts, and language development. Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles. Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, including assessments, standardized testing results, and individualized education plans (IEPs). Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe environment for all children. Communicate regularly with families about their child's development, milestones, and classroom activities to build strong home-school connections. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; Montessori or other specialized early childhood training is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Experience developing and implementing curriculum that incorporates literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and working with children with diverse needs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff. Previous experience in private schools or daycare centers enhances understanding of different educational environments. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal requirements for child safety and welfare.
