Job Description
Our Quality & Safety Technicians are the pillar for the Quality & Safety in the plant working with the Production teams and Management to ensure quality work in a safe and timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIESPerforming a variety of tasks in the assigned department. Possible to be in multiple areas of the plant during the week working on varied projects and customer orders.
Perform production quality checks and ensure all safety guidelines are being followedHelp withControl of non-conforming supplier defects and returns, sorting and reworks of damaged product.
Support of weekly KPI's and/or compliances with CAR (corrective action reports).Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes)Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures and policies. Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the Customer. Catch it on the front end of manufacturing the product. Strong attention to detail for poor quality; prevent bad quality being sent to customer.
Superior time management skills and must be self driven and self motivated. Excellent attendance is a must.
Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail is must.
Ability to solve practical problems: ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
Multi-tasking; ability to work with various challenges and deal with a variety of situationsAbility to read, comprehend and interpret operating instructions, training and procedure manuals.\Excellent communication skills; able to speak effectively to employees, managers, customersWill be very involved in the complaint process for internal and external customers; entering, tracking, receiving complaint issues and resolutions to complaints or root cause analysisAbility to perform process auditsData entryManagement and control of documents (safety, training and quality)Control of non-conforming supplier defects and returnsManagement of sorting and reworksManagement of weekly KPI's and/or compliances with CAR (corrective action reports).Responsible for PAR (Preventive Acton Reports)Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
Work overtime as required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMay be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong desire to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced environmentHigh School Diploma or GEDEligible to work in the United States.Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.

SKILLSAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.REASONING

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
