Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Use classroom management techniques to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging space for young children. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and promote collaborative support for each child's development. Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education practices to support children with diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to child welfare standards at all times. Lead activities that support physical development, including experience teaching physical education or movement-based lessons. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction, classroom techniques, and curriculum enhancements. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Experience developing curriculum content across core areas such as literacy education, math, and physical activity. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and mandated reporting laws is highly desirable. Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children in a professional manner. Classroom experience involving toddler care or preschool teaching is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained prior to employment. Experience working in private school environments or similar educational institutions is advantageous.
