We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated educator to help create an exceptional learning environment for children ages 3 to 5 years . Located at 2466 Buford Hwy, Duluth, GA 30097 , our center is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education through meaningful relationships, hands-on learning experiences, and developmentally appropriate practices that help every child thrive. Position Overview We are currently hiring a full-time Preschool Lead Teacher to lead a classroom of children ages 3 to 5 years . In this role, you will create a positive, engaging learning environment while implementing a structured curriculum that supports children's academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth. As a Lead Teacher, you will serve as both an educator and mentor, guiding assistant teachers while fostering a safe, inclusive, and joyful classroom culture. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) Lead daily circle time, small-group instruction, and learning center activities Deliver structured literacy and phonics instruction in accordance with Georgia literacy requirements Introduce foundational math concepts, including counting, shapes, patterns, measurement, and number sense Observe, document, and assess children's developmental progress Maintain individual child portfolios and anecdotal records Share developmental assessments and progress updates with families Support kindergarten readiness through age-appropriate learning experiences Supervise, coach, and collaborate with assistant teachers Partner with specialists and support services when additional developmental support is needed Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning Minimum Requirements In accordance with Georgia DECAL regulations, candidates must: Be at least 18 years of age Successfully complete the required Georgia DECAL background check before any child contact Hold current CPR and First Aid Certification prior to employment Possess a high school diploma or GED Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Early Childhood Education degree to qualify as a Lead Teacher Complete required literacy training and DECAL-mandated professional development requirements Complete the DECAL Health and Safety Orientation within 90 days of hire Participate in annual continuing education requirements Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field Two or more years of experience as a Lead Teacher in a licensed preschool classroom Strong knowledge of GELDS and play-based learning approaches Experience conducting family conferences and documenting child development Excellent communication, classroom management, and leadership skills Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish or English/Hindi) are encouraged to apply Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday Center hours: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM Shift schedules will be assigned based on operational needs Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience, education, and credentials Benefits package available Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment How to Apply Please send your resume, relevant credentials, and a brief introduction about your experience in early childhood education to:
