In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Your energetic approach will inspire curiosity and learning while ensuring each child's individual needs are met. As a leader in the classroom, you will collaborate with families, implement best practices in early childhood education, and uphold safety standards to create a positive and enriching experience for every child. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills. Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, curiosity, and independence among toddlers and infants. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and build strong partnerships supporting each child's growth. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare incidents or concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment following health and safety guidelines including first aid and CPR certifications. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers and infants. Strong background in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards. Experience managing classrooms effectively through classroom management strategies suitable for young children. Knowledge of childhood development milestones, behavior management techniques, and special education practices. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures related to early learning assessments is preferred. Prior experience communicating effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and needs. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in childhood welfare or mandated reporting laws is advantageous.
