Duties Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports individual child development needs. Implement curriculum development strategies that incorporate child welfare principles, special education accommodations, early intervention techniques, and standardized testing when appropriate. Manage daily classroom activities to ensure smooth transitions and active engagement among children aged toddler through preschool age. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and professional development initiatives to enhance teaching effectiveness. Qualifications CDA,TCC,Associates, Bachelors, Master's Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education programs is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are a plus. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Prior experience in private school settings or similar educational institutions is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan lessons that incorporate math concepts and standardized testing when necessary.
