As a key leader in our early childhood education team, you will oversee classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and ensure the safety and well-being of every child. Responsibilities Plan and implement dynamic lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom activities designed to support child development instruction across various age groups, with special attention to toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong partnerships supporting each child's growth. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality childcare and classroom management. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare, health records, and incident reports. Incorporate early intervention strategies when necessary to support children with special education needs or developmental delays. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education. Knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and standardized testing methods relevant to early learners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and child welfare policies. Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement into daily activities is a plus. Ability to lead lesson planning efforts that integrate literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional learning components.
