This position develops and implements age-appropriate activities that support each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The Lead Toddler Teacher also supervises classroom staff, maintains daily routines, communicates professionally with parents, and ensures the classroom meets all childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements. Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting . The ideal candidate will be dependable, patient, organized, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate early intervention strategies, literacy education, and foundational math concepts tailored for toddlers. Lead daily classroom activities focused on child development instruction, physical education, and creative play to promote holistic growth. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques while fostering a positive learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring transparency and strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and incident reports. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to uphold high standards of classroom management and childcare quality. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health guidelines, first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and safety protocols. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings, with a focus on toddler care. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, and early intervention techniques. Proven ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities that foster literacy skills and physical development. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Skilled in classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and create an inclusive learning environment. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education assessments. Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with diverse learning needs while ensuring compliance with all childcare regulations. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred. Pay:
