Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and dependable Bilingual Assistant Director to join our leadership team. We are looking for someone who is fluent in English and Spanish and has a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with children, parents, teachers, and administrative staff while helping ensure the center operates smoothly each day. This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, solve problems, support our Director, and help create an exceptional experience for both our families and employees. Key Responsibilities Assist the Center Director with the overall daily operation of the childcare center Communicate professionally with parents in both English and Spanish Assist prospective families with inquiries, tours, enrollment, and follow-up Help create a welcoming and professional environment for families entering the center Supervise and support teachers and other childcare staff Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage Monitor classrooms to ensure policies, procedures, and quality standards are being followed Respond promptly to parent questions, concerns, and requests Assist with staff training, coaching, and accountability Help maintain compliance with Georgia childcare licensing requirements Assist with student records, enrollment documentation, and administrative responsibilities Help ensure classrooms and common areas remain clean, organized, safe, and welcoming Assist with planning center activities, special events, and parent-engagement initiatives Step into classrooms when necessary to support staff and maintain required ratios Support the Director with additional operational responsibilities as needed Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Fluency in both English and Spanish - required Previous childcare or early childhood education experience Previous leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with parents Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to lead employees and hold team members accountable Dependability and a strong work ethic Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced childcare environment Strong computer and administrative skills Knowledge of Georgia childcare licensing requirements is a plus Candidates with previous experience as an Assistant Director, Childcare Director, Curriculum Coordinator, Lead Teacher, or childcare administrator are strongly encouraged to apply.
