In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and collaborate with lead teachers to promote developmental growth and learning. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support children with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering, and bathroom breaks in accordance with health and safety standards. Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and other stimulating activities that encourage creativity and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs to foster a collaborative relationship. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health regulations and promotes a positive learning atmosphere. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting concerns promptly. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid to ensure safety during emergencies. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities or behavioral challenges. Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to follow classroom routines diligently while adapting to the individual needs of each child. Understanding of mandated reporting laws and compliance requirements for child safety.
